COMPUTATIONAL LINGUISTICS LABORATORY
This line of action is directly linked to the empirical study of language and the development of information and communication technologies. There are two specialized laboratories: one for computational linguistics and the other for phonetics, in addition to a language industry office. The specific objectives of these laboratories focus on:
1) Working on the design, analysis, processing of corpora, and development of its applications.
2) Researching in the field of linguistic engineering and computational linguistics as a multidisciplinary field of linguistics that uses computer science to study and treat human language.
3) As new technologies are among the priority areas of the Research Framework Programmes, we will be able to compete with projects in different calls, mainly European, but also national and regional.
